Three True Stories
Yao, Weihua 饒維華
In 1997, 72-year-old Mr. Weihua Yao lost twelve lbs of body weight in a few days, suffering acute pain in his lower back and thighs. He lost another eighteen lbs during the following two weeks, and his body began to give off an offensive smell. A physical examination showed that he had prostate cancer, which had by then spread to his bone marrow, making his illness inoperable. The doctor declared that he had two months to live.
Mr. Yao stayed in the hospital for one week. The pain was so great that he couldn’t keep his back straight, much less sit up in bed. After-qi-regulating session by Lee Feng-San Shifu to lessen his pain, Mr. Yao got out of bed and started a daily Detoxing Qigong routine of five thousand repetitions. He has never stopped since.
With amazing resolve, Mr. Yao created a miracle. His cancer began to cure within three months. His antigen level returned to normal.
He also switched to a vegetarian diet, took ganaderma powder and bee pollen, and drank one and a half quarts of carrot and apple juice everyday. During these three months, Mr. Yao showed clear signs of detoxification. The back of his hands turned black. He had two bowel movements everyday. His body smelled so bad that he needed to shower twice daily. Gradually but unmistakably, Mr. Yao regained his strength and weight, and the reek of his body disappeared.
In 2000, four years after the doctor had pronounced that he had only two months to live, Mr. Yao travelled to Beijing with Lee Feng-San Shifu and many other students of the Meimen Qigong Culture Center. He walked in front of everybody and led the pack in reaching the highest point of the Great Wall. Mr. Yao owes his miraculous recovery to Pingshuai and has a few words of advice for everyone, “The sooner you start Pingshuai, the better.”

Lan, Jingfeng 藍景渢
Mrs. Jingfeng Lan was a medical professional and worked for many years in ICU, where she had seen and handled all imaginable emergencies and had in the process learned to accomplish her work with poise. None of what she learned in her profession, however, prepared her for what would happen with the birth of her second daughter, Yunchung. Since birth, Yunchung was a regular visitor to the doctor’s. Her illnesses developed from bronchitis to pneumonia to asthma. Doctors ended up prescribing the maximum dosage of steroid but her conditions only got worse. Disappointed with western medicine, Mrs. Lan turned to Chinese medicine for help, but still the result was far less than satisfactory.
One day, Mrs. Lan read a book written by Lee Feng-San Shifu. She decided immediately to take her two daughter to Meimen to learn qigong. The oldest daughter, who was prone to catch colds, began to develop stronger resistance against colds, and was able to recover without taking medication. But the most prominent result was to be seen with Yunchung. Her monthly visit to the doctor’s dwindled to once every six months. And when she had an asthma attack, she was able to overcome it without the use of any medicine.
Needless to say, Mrs. Lan was greatly heartened by the improvement of her children’s physical condition. She started to practice qigong herself. Her health, mental and physical, improved and she lost 24 pounds in the process! She is also happy to find out that her girls have not only become more healthy, but have also changed from difficult children into well-behaved and considerate little angels.
Mrs. Lan is now a full-time volunteer at Meimen. A Helpless mother before and a worriless mother today, Mrs. Lan’s biggest wish now is for all mothers of the world to never have to worry about their children being sick anymore.

Liao, Yungfeng 廖永豐
In 2002, Mr. Liao received the Golden Heart Award for Excellent Teachers with Physical Disabilities. When Mr. Liao went on stage to receive the honor, his mother, sitting in the audience, shed tears of joy at her son’s glory.
Mr. Liao got polio when he was two years old. His mother carried him on her back and travelled all over Taiwan searching for doctors who could cure her son. Her efforts were in vain. Mr. Liao grew up a quiet child who lied to be left alone and stayed at home all day. At the age of twenty-four, he met Lee Feng-San Shifu. The encounter changed his life for good. Lee Shifu told him that he needed a centre for his life, and qigong would be that centre. He started to practice qigong whenever he had time, often up to four or five hours a day. Several years later, at the encouragement of Lee Shifu, he had a surgery to remove the metal piece put in his ankle when he first got polio. One could easily imagine the doubts and worries of the doctor who was asked to perform the procedure. But Mr. Liao, with the help of qigong, never showed any post-surgery symptoms that the doctor worried about. His ankle grew stronger and more flexible, to the point where he was able to go on long-distance mountain hiking trips.
Under the teaching and guidance of Lee Shifu, Mr. Liao changed from a shy and quiet person to a man with a warm and open heart. The transformation was nothing short of a miracle in the eyes of all who knew him. In 2003, he quit his job and became a full-time volunteer at Meimen so that he could help spread Lee Shifu’s teachings to a wider world. “Now I know what it means to live a meaningful life.” He says.

By chance, my Tai Chi junior sister is Taiwanese. Her whole family has been learning Pingshuai Qigong from Master Lee in Meimen for many years. She taught me this method, and I am willing to share it with those who need it. Our daily Tai Chi classes all start with this method, and new students will also start their Tai Chi journey from this practice.
May all beings live in peace with a smile~
